What's the difference between a Bangle and Bracelet?

A bangle is closed circular bracelet that usually fits looser than bracelet, thereby "dangling" from your wrist or hand. Our guess is along the way, someone creative wordsmith wrote bracelet + dangle = bangle and so the name bangle has become the official fashion term for these style bracelets. The welded and joined ends which form a rigid circle are the most distinct feature to distinguishing a bangle from a bracelet.
