These lily flower disc earrings are a splendid fusion of bronze, copper, and sterling silver featuring components that were all individually sawed by hand and welded together with perfection. The 20 gauge bronze backing discs measure 1.4 inches (35 mm) in diameter and with their warm radiant bronze glow are the perfect background for the 18 gauge copper six petal lily flowers with sterling silver carpels. Using an acetylene torch, the components were soldered together then domed on a steel dapping block to form the curved shape which gives the disc earrings added dimension, while producing shiny natural highlights from light bouncing off the surfaces. A subtle pewter black patina adds definition and contrast to the edges of lily design and chased veins in the petals for emphasis on the handmade flower. To give the earrings a bold appearance, a brushed burnish technique was used bring out a metallic glow, before gently smoothing the surfaces with a very fine polishing wheel.

The earrings hang from sterling silver hypoallergenic ear wires with a total dangle of approximately 2 inches from the top of the ear wires to the bottom of the bronze discs.
