This hammered king ring builds upon my standard king ring with intricate cut out details and crown shape with a hammered texture that sparkles in the light. The ring was sawed as a flat band with variable widths, a crown peak in the center, and tapered ends from 18 gauge sterling silver. Cut out designs were created by punching pilot holes, feeding fine saw blades through the hole, and sawing out the shapes inner shapes one at a time. The flat metal ring form was then bent into a semi round shape with pliers and the two ends soldered together with an acetylene torch. The semi round ring was hammered over a steel mandrel into a perfect ring. The hammered texture was produced with a ball hammer while the ring is on the mandrel.

The hammered texture is added to the king ring as the last step, because the hammering expands the metal. I actually make a ring that is smaller than required and hammer the metal until the ring expands to the correct ring size, therefore I will need your ring size or finger circumference in order to make the ring.
