This latitude longitude ring can be personalized with your own special coordinates stamped one digit at a time in the sterling silver. Those coordinates might be the place where you fell in love, where something began, or just a place with profound meaning in your life. The ring is shown in a size 7, but can be ordered in any size by entering your ring size or finger circumference along with your coordinates in the check out notes.

Since the ring was formed from sturdy 18 gauge sterling silver, it is possible to stamp both the front and back without having to be concerned with the lettering punching through the metal. The ring measures .25 inch wide by 1 mm thick and was sawed by hand as a flat strip from 18 gauge sterling silver with a jewelry saw, stamped with latitude and longitude coordinates, and hammered over a steel ring mandrel to form the ring using a nylon mallet. The ends were aligned at the seam and soldered with sterling silver solder and an acetylene torch. By making absolutely sure that ends are in perfect alignment and meticulous filing the seam becomes almost invisible even under close inspection. The edges were rounded, a black patina brushed into the coordinates for contrast, and the ring was polished to a mirror finish by hand with a series of fine polishing cloths ending in an ultra fine 12,000 grit.
