Combing the intriguing blues of a Swiss Blue Topaz with wings wrapped around your finger, this handmade bird ring takes flight with a design that was cut free hand from a flat band of 18 gauge sterling silver using a fine jewelry saw. The flat bird band was then hammered into a ring shape over a steel mandrel, the ends joined at the seams using silver solder and an acetylene torch, and fine details such as feathers chased deep into the metal with engraving tools. For an enhanced silver radiance, the sterling silver has been burnished with a medium brush to expose grains and lightly polished

Measuring about ½ inch from head to tail, the bird can be adapted to fit any ring size and remain in perfect proportion to the wing span. To order your bird ring with a custom fit, simply enter your sizing requests in the check out notes. Other personalized requests might include initials on the inside, hammered textures, patinas, and your choice of almost any birthstone or gemstone. As a ring for bridesmaids or themed weddings, the wedding date can also be engraved on the inside of the band.
