Measuring 2 inches long by 1 inch wide when finished, this money clip started as a flat band cut on our precision shear from 20 gauge bronze, before carefully folding in half, worked into shape over a cylindrical steel bar and finishing the design with rounded corners and filed edges for a classy appearance and preserving those hard earned dollars. In this example, the initials RJ were stamped using a steel lettering kit and 3 lb hammer to ensure the deepest possible impressions. A pewter black patina was applied to darken the initials for added contrast against the bright golden glow of freshly polished bronze. Since we really like the appearance of aged and antique bronze, we have left the surfaces untreated to oxidize naturally with time, however upon request, we can add a wax coating to seal to the bronze.
