As ties range from extremely skinny to extra wide and tie bar width is often stylistic preference, you can also enter your preferred sizing in the check out notes along with your date.

Perfect for weddings, groomsmen, Father's Day, birthdays, or as a gift for the holidays, your tie bar can also be personalized in addition to or in place of the date on any of the four tie bar sides. Since our sterling silver tie bars are handmade from solid 18 gauge sterling silver, there is never any concern that the lettering or engraving will punch through to the opposite side. As photographed, the tie bar measures 1.5 inches long by .25 inch wide and was custom cut in our workshop on a precision bench shear.

Cut as a flat band of sterling silver, the spring clip is formed by hand bending the sterling silver around a small cylindrical piece of steel. The date is stamped in the metal by striking a steel numbering kit with a hammer to create the impressions. To darken the lettering for increased legibility, a black patina is brushed into the numbers before polishing to a mirror finish.
