These unique cuff links feature a bronze sun on a sterling silver backing disc with chased rays of light radiating from stamped ankhs in the center of each sun.

The cuff links were constructed by sawing two 18mm discs from 18 gauge sterling silver with a jewelry saw and the two inner 9mm discs from 20 gauge bronze. The bronze and sterling silver discs were soldered together using silver solder and an acetylene torch. A ray design was chased on the sterling silver with a hammer and fine chisel, before stamping the ankhs in the center of each bronze sun. The flat discs were domed on a dabbing block to create the curvature which reflects light into radiant highlights.
To form a bond that will last a life time and is stronger than typical adhesives, the discs were soldered to pure bronze links. A black patina was brushed into the ankh symbols for contrast and the metal surfaces were polished with a silicon buffing wheel to reveal a harmonious glow of the two metals.

These cuff links can also be personalized with a monogram or initials in place of the ankhs symbols by entering your requests in the check out notes.
