Handcrafted in the shape of a feather, this bronze feather bypass ring wraps a revered Native American symbol of trust, strength, and fortitude around your finger, while creating an artistic statement with 360 degrees of golden radiant shine for everyday wear or bronze anniversaries (8th).
Sawed entirely by hand using a very fine frame saw and freehand outline penciled on a flat band of 20 gauge bronze, each feather ring is uniquely crafted one at a time and shaped by placing the ring diagonally oriented over a steel ring mandrel and tapping with a nylon mallet to form the feather into a wrap ring.
All edges were rounded and filed before engraving the detail vein design and darkening the grooves with a black patina. Given the unusual shape of wrap rings , polishing to a mirror finish can only be completed by hand using a series of cloths in ever decreasing grit until finally polishing with a 15,000 grit. The ring measures about 1 inch in length and 3-4mm in width.
Bypass rings are adjustable and will fit one full ring size up or down from the size 7 shown here in the photograph, however if you would like a custom size, just let us know in the notes to seller section at check out. Bronze is an alloy of tin and copper as such all bronze will eventually tarnish like copper. To keep your ring looking like new, you can simply re-polish with a soft cloth at any time or if tarnishing a real concern, you may request a wax coating at check out. This feather ring can also be custom ordered in 14k gold. Unlike copper, bronze, and even sterling silver, gold will not tarnish or discolour.
Custom orders and requests are always welcome. Please don’t hesitate to contact us or call any time with questions and special requests. Thanks.. Nici
