These copper star on bronze earrings are a stunning combination of radiant metallic colors swirled together in a unique celestial arrangement. The star was sawed by hand from 18 gauge copper and soldered to 20 gauge handmade bronze backing discs measuring 1.5 inches (38 mm) in diameter. At the center of the star is an 18 gauge sterling silver disc that cast a silver glow across the stars and discs. A series of grooves were hammered along the circumference of the discs before doming the discs on a dapping block to introduce curvature into the design which adds dimension while creating natural highlights from light bouncing off the curved surfaces. The earrings were then polished to a satin finish with a series of silicon buffing wheels.

The earrings hang from the heavens on hypoallergenic sterling silver ear wires with a total dangle of approximately 2 inches from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the bronze discs.
