Featuring a tree bark texture, this hammered sterling silver ring set combines a rustic appearance with artistic elegance. The rings were rough sawed in a slight wave by hand as flat metal bands from 18 gauge sterling silver, shaped into rings with a pliers, and hammered on a steel ring mandrel until the ends were in perfect alignment. Using silver solder and an acetylene torch, the seams were soldered and the rings were hammered to perfection on the mandrel.

The unique directional hammered texture was produced with a series of riveting hammers after the rings are formed, since hammering the sterling silver will expand the metal and lead to a larger ring size. The seams along with the edges were hand filed and surfaces polished before tumbling to a final finish. A subtle grey patina was brushed into the hammered grooves and once again the rings were tumbled to leave only slight shadows for contrast against the brilliant silver glow of the sterling silver.

As shown, these rings are a US size 5 with a width of .16 inch for the lady and US size 7 with a width of .25 inch for the man, but can be ordered in any custom size, by simply entering your requests in the check out notes. I can also stamp and engrave the inside with a date or short words like love or forever.
