These sunburst earrings were sawed by hand in the shape of a heart from 18 gauge copper with a jewelry saw and hammered on a dapping block to produce a domed shape. Curvature reflects ordinary light into natural highlights, while also adding dimension to the earrings. A dark grey patina was applied to the copper and then burnished to create that antiqued brushed appearance.
