I love Sedona and we go there quite often during fall , early winter and spring . We are fortunate that we live only 1 1/2 hours away from it .
I would not however ever want to live there . The City is unfortunately overrun with tourists and most people that live there are older now . That means the City closes down at 6pm sharp . Life music is view and far in between due to quiet time . There are tons of good restaurants though if you get a spot .
We usually go during the week to avoid the traffic and come in the back way which has almost no traffic . Anaconda Trail is less likely to have a lot of hikers and has awesome views . Mescalero is also nice . I try to avoid devils bridge as that is where visitors go the most
