Yoga themed copper tie clip with Aum

Taking inspiration from Yoga and Dharmic traditions, this copper tie bar was stamped with a large OM or Aum symbol to represent a nebulous, ubiquitous and muddled expression of the sum of all consciousness, spirits, divine heavens, and earthly souls, yet for each individual, the meaning of the OM is clearly definable and very personal in meaning. In other words, to understand the Om is to also understand one's self and place in the universe.

Measuring 5/16 inch wide by 2.1 inches long, this tie bar is wider than my sleeker style tie bars in order to accommodate the large OM symbol and the width cannot be narrowed and still have adequate space, however the tie bar can still be ordered in custom lengths to fit skinny or wide ties by entering your requests in the notes to seller box at check out.

Each tie bar is produced one at a time in our studio by cutting a flat strip of metal from a 17 gauge sheet of semi hard copper using a heavy duty precision bench shear and imprinting a large steel OM symbol by striking a metal stamp with a 3lb hammer. The tie bar is then formed bending the copper strip around a small cylindrical piece of steel, corners and edges rounded, and surfaces polished to a mirror finish.

This listing can also be used to personalize your tie bar with any other phrases and/or symbols in addition to or in place of the Om. All four side of the tie bar can be stamped and engraving without marring the opposing surfaces.
