Gold filled 14/20 refers to a solid layer of real 14k gold mechanically bonded to a brass core using pressure and rolling instead of electroplating, dipping, or chemically bonding a gold coating to a base metal. Unlike plated gold, gold filled has higher preservation of the crystal structure along with a much greater gold content, thereby offering better resistance to rubbing, fading, cracking, tarnishing, flaking off the base metal and allowing us to also add the hammered texture and mirror polish. By total weight, this bracelet is 20% gold.
