Soaring with wings outstretched donned in the unmistakable shine of sterling silver and artistically accented with red and green glows from a natural Garnet and two Peridots, this handcrafted statement bracelet was sawed entirely by hand using a jewelry saw and fused together as two distinct bird shaped layers cut from 18 gauge sterling silver. Fine details such as the feather outlines were chased into the trailing edge of the bird's wings and tail and then darkened with a black patina to provide an aesthetic pause for the eyes while following the flowing form.

Using an acetylene torch and sterling silver solder to fuse both the bracelet backing and stone settings produces a strong tight bond and resistant fire scale that is removed through pickling with hydrochloric acid and significant polishing to restore the silver shine. The bracelet was first formed by hand over a wooden bracelet mandrel with a nylon hammer before adding the stone settings. Once all polishing and forming was complete, the two 3mm green Peridots and one 3mm red Garnet were carefully set in the bezel cups. Rounded and filed edges ensure a comfortable and classy fit.

As photographed, the bracelet measures 6 inches in total length and about 1.5 inches in width from head to tail with an average width about 1/3 inch. Although this bracelet is adjustable and will fit many wrist sizes, you can also order your bird cuff bracelet in a specific size with a personalized fit, by entering your wrist measurements or preferred bracelet size in the notes to seller at check out. To preserve the scale of the bird, the head to tail length and average width can be increased or deceased accordingly. Bird bracelets are extremely popular as wedding jewelry, gifts for bridesmaids, or as women's jewelry, while simple changes such as increasing the overall width, adding larger stones like turquoise, and finishing the silver with either a hammered texture or even a brushed patina would create a piece of men's jewelry that will appeal to nature lovers, bird watchers, and fans of Native American influenced art.
