These sterling silver stud earrings were handmade from start to finish and feature a boy and girl stamp as shown, but can also be personalized with a boy/boy or girl/girl stamp.
The discs were pressed by hand one a time from 18 gauge sterling silver using a fine disc cutter, stamped with a boy and girl metal stamp, and hammered on a dapping block to create the dome shape which reflects light to create accented highlights while adding dimension to the stud earrings. The finished domes were joined to hypoallergenic studs with an hydrogen torch and a dark patina was applied to the stamps and surface. By brushing the surfaces with heavy strokes, areas of shine and shadow dominate the visual appearance and offer a rustic touch.
The domes measure about 8mm (.32in) in diameter and come with hypoallergenic pure sterling silver studs. Custom orders and special requests are always welcome.
