Radiating a silver shine, this sun pendant was sawed by hand from 20 gauge sterling silver with a jewelry saw and as a special highlight has a star cut out with chased rays of light emanating outwards towards the tips of the suns arms. The sun shape is my unique design drawn and sawed freehand on the sterling silver. To create the star, a hole was drilled in the center of the sun, the jewelry blade fed through the hole, and the star sawed out before filing all of the edges on the sun design with a hand file. The rays were chased with a harden steel chasing chisel and darkened with a black patina for contrast in the sea of silver.
The measures a little over 1 inch in diameter and includes a nickel plated ball chain, however you may also request a black leather cord in the check out notes if you are allergic to nickel or would prefer more of a southwestern appearance.
